Prince Harry 'to skip King Charles' Coronation concert'

Prince Harry will reportedly skip the Coronation concert, instead opting to jet back to America just hours after the ceremony. The Duke of Sussex, 38, recently confirmed that he will be attending King Charles's Coronation, however, he has since told his father that he will not be staying in the UK for the weekend of festivities. Sources close to the Sussexes have revealed that rather than attending the concert, Harry will instead be flying back to California to belatedly celebrate his son, Prince Archie's, birthday, which falls on the same day as the coronation.

Harry's wife Meghan Markle will be remaining in the US with the couple's children during the Coronation.

Discussing Harry's upcoming visit to the UK for his father's Coronation, a royal source told the Mirror: "After much back and forth, Harry said that he would be returning for the King's Coronation but it will only be a fleeting visit. Continuing his post, Omid further argued: "Expect it to be a fairly quick trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey." Buckingham Palace confirmed the Prince's attendance with a statement that read: "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May.

"The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

It came after the Sussexes were previously said to have sent coronation planning into "chaos" after they missed the appointed dealing for RSVPs. Those who received invitations to the historic event were asked to RSVP by Monday 3 April, however, organisers were reported to have still been waiting for confirmation three days after this deadline. Following the passing of the deadline, a royal insider told MailOnline that those planning the historic event are "none the wiser" over Harry and Meghan's attendance.

The source told the outlet: "Everything is still up in the air and there's only a month to go.

All people have been told is that 'it should hopefully be resolved soon."
