Royal Family Releases Never-Before-Seen Photo of Queen …
In celebration of what would've been Queen Elizabeth II's 97th birthday, Kate Middleton, 41, and Prince William, 40, posted a previously unseen photo of the late monarch spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on social media--and the touching pic was taken by the Princess of Wales herself. Earlier this morning, the never-before-seen photo was shared on the royal couple's joint Instagram page. In the snap (which was taken at Balmoral in Scotland), the late queen is sitting on a lime-green couch surrounded by the young royals.
Seated right beside her are Peter Phillips's two daughters, Savannah, 12, and Isla, 11. Also smiling in the family photo are Zara and Mike Tindall's three children: Mia, 9, Lena, 4, and Lucas, 2. And standing right behind their great-grandmother are Princess Catherine and Prince William's three children--Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
Additionally, Prince Edward's son, James, 15, and Lady Louise Windsor, 19, are in the very back. The caption of the photo (snapped by Princess Catherine) reads: "Today would have been Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth's 97th birthday. This photograph--showing her with some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren--was taken at Balmoral last summer."

Queen Elizabeth II sadly passed away at the age of 96 on September 8, 2022. Her Majesty spent her final days receiving medical care at Balmoral Castle (where the family photo was taken) due to her declining health. Members of the royal family (including her grandson, Prince Harry) traveled to the royal residence to be with the queen.
Happy birthday to the late, great Queen Elizabeth!
