Should Prince Harry have a bigger role at the Coronation
Prince Harry is expected to make a hasty exit after King Charles's Coronation on May 6 - but do YOU think the Duke of Sussex should have a bigger role at the historic event? The momentous occasion will see Harry return to the UK alone, while his wife Meghan Markle remains in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. As Harry is no longer a working royal, he is not expected to take part in either the King's Procession or the Coronation Procession to and from Buckingham Palace, nor will he be on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
King Charles and Queen Camilla have reportedly chosen only 15 family members to join them on the balcony following the procession, meaning Harry will not be present. A source told The Mirror: "The King has been very clear who he wants to represent the monarchy. There is little room for sentiment, this is a State occasion, not a family occasion and it is right that only the working members of the family are there at the big public moment."
He will be in Westminster Abbey for the Coronation, but will be forced to sit ten rows back, Paul Burrell has said. The former royal butler told GB News: "He is coming to put his foot in the door. He is coming because his father wants him to be there."
Mr Burrell believes Harry "is not going to hang around", with some sources speculating he could be in and out of the UK within 24 hours. His brief visit means he would not stick around for the Coronation concert on the Sunday. Sources have indicated that Harry will be sat with other non-working members of the family and those he has no bad blood with, including Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
It has also been reported that feuding brothers Harry and Prince William will not be seen in a camera shot together. Do you think Harry should have a bigger role at the Coronation?
