Pune: In the back water of Panshet dam in Velhe taluka of Pune district, a migrant software engineer died after falling into the water. Around noon on Friday, he slipped and fell into the water. As none of his friends could swim, he drowned.

Panshet Police has informed that his body was found around 9 am today after a search operation of almost 14 hours. The name of the dead person is Mohit Hemant Saraf (age 30) and he will be a resident of Madhya Pradesh. But he had come for a meeting in a private company in Baner for work.

More information about this is that from April 3 to April 7, a meeting of Avalara Technology Private Limited Company was organized at Baner from 2 pm. All India workers of the company were present for this meeting. After the meeting was over on Friday afternoon, April 7, around 3 pm, a group of boys and girls from the company came for camping at Aryawat Resort in Dhindli (Velhe) area of Panshet area.

But everyone reached the resort at 5.30 pm. After touring the resort, Anshul Kamal Ametha, Vrishali Rambhau Gaidhane, Harvinderjit Bhursingh Singh, Shabnam Naruddin Siddiqui, Mansi Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Mohit Hemant Saraf all walked to see the backwaters of Panshet Dam. Everyone went into knee-deep water in the bank water of the dam.

At this time, Mohim Saraf's foot slipped and he lost his balance in the deep water. At that time, Nikhil Kishore Badgujar also fell into the water. But holding a stone near the ground he came up.

After this, everyone formed a chain to remove Mohit. Anshul Ametha was at the forefront as everyone tried to pull Mohit out of the water. Everyone came out of the water in fear as his leg also started slipping.

Mohit drowned in the water in front of everyone, but no one could save him as no one could swim.

Further investigation under the guidance of Assistant Police Inspector Manoj Pawar, Panshet police station Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kadam, Police Constable Pankaj Moghe, Rajaram Hole are conducting further investigation.
