The arrested person is Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He is said to be the leader of a small online gaming group on Discord that led to the leak of classified U.S. intelligence documents.
Photos near Teixeira's house, featuring special forces, also spread on social media. Previously, on Thursday, U.S. President Joe Biden said that they are close to identifying the organizer of the leak of classified documents.

It was previously reported that an employee of the U.S. military base may be behind the large-scale leak of secret U.S. intelligence documents. He allegedly leaked them to the network without any particular goals and without fully realizing the consequences. These documents concern not only Ukraine, but also the Middle East and China.
Several dozen pages of highly classified documents were published on February 28 and March 2 on the Discord platform. However, the fact of the leak became public only this week. In particular, this leak shows that the U.S. receives information from almost every Russian special service.
For example, one of the documents marked "Top Secret" discusses the Russian General Staff's plans to counter Western tanks in Ukraine.

The materials also show that U.S. special services warned Kyiv in real time about the exact time of the Russian strikes and even about the specific targets of the attacks so that Ukraine could defend itself.
The leak could potentially cause real damage to Ukraine's military efforts if it helps Moscow block sources of information.
