The Netherlands reveals the list of military aid to Ukraine

The list of security assistance was published on the website of the Ministry of Defense. However, for security reasons, not everything that the Netherlands promised or already delivered to Ukraine was made public. Military assistance from the Netherlands has been provided since February 2022.

The statement emphasizes that it is important for the country that Ukraine does not lose the war with the Russian invaders. Therefore, the government considers it very important to continue supporting the reinforcement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As of the beginning of February, military assistance from the Netherlands for Ukraine exceeded one billion euros.

And as of April 5, 2023, the Netherlands allocated the following assistance to Ukraine:

• Combat vehicles
  T-72 tanks (45 units), YPR tracked armoured vehicles (196 units), Fennek reconnaissance vehicles and Viking tracked vehicles. Leopard 1 tanks jointly with Denmark and Germany (at least 100 units).
• Fire support
  PzH 2000 self-propelled howitzers (8 units) and 120-mm mortars.
• Air defense systems
  Two Patriot SAM launchers with missiles, MR-2 anti-aircraft guns (100 units), missiles and air-defense systems such as the Stinger.
• Individual weapons
  Hand-held machine guns of various calibers, rifles and pistols.
• Ammunition
  Various types of small caliber ammunition for individual weapons and ammunition for combat vehicles and artillery systems, anti-tank ammunition such as LAW and Panzerfaust.
• Sensors and devices
  Various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (143 units), radars and detection systems such as ground sensors, and a total of 1,037 units of night vision equipment including thermal imagers.
• Bridges
  Baileybruggen (15 units) and M3 Amphibious Rig amphibious bridging vehicles (6 units).
• Kitchens

  4 ton trucks, Amarok cars and ambulances.
• Demining equipment
  One Scanjack mine clearing system and two Bozena demining systems, mine detectors and other equipment.

Previously, the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have spoken about the YPR-765 tracked armored personnel carriers used against the Russian invaders.

The Netherlands is to finance the production of 100 mobile anti-aircraft systems for the air defense for Ukraine.

These air defense systems could be particularly useful in fighting against Iranian kamikaze drones used by Russia. In addition, the Netherlands will purchase the necessary ammunition for these systems from Czech defense companies.

The Netherlands will transfer to Ukraine two Alkmaar-class minehunters for mine disposal and the coast guard of Ukrainian waters.

Ukraine is expected to receive ships transferred by the Netherlands in 2025.
