Ukrainian Foreign Minister comments on negotiations about F-16s in Brussels
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that he discussed in Brussels the issue of providing Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets. "The discussion consisted of two blocks. First, we have dispelled some of the arguments of those who say that providing aircraft is too long, difficult and almost impossible. But no one says that this is unnecessary," Kuleba said.
"Secondly, there are no decisions [yet], but they assured me that taking into account the information I provided about Ukraine's much higher readiness to operate these aircraft than some believe, it will be discussed in the capitals with the political leadership of the states," he added.
Background: After the meeting, Kuleba also said that the issue of providing Ukraine with an action plan for NATO membership was no longer on the agenda.
On Tuesday, for the first time since 2017, the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Commission took place, when the educational law was adopted, which Budapest opposes.
