Harry made meaningful detour on way home from Coronation but …

Prince Harry visited Buckingham Palace during his short visit to the UK but didn't see anyone from the Royal Family, reports suggest. He spent less than half an hour there after the end of the King's Coronation at Westminster Abbey. The Duke of Sussex went from the Palace, straight to Heathrow Airport to fly home to his family in California.

The lack of contact was for practical reasons as the rest of the family were busy with the ongoing proceedings, and although he was a regular guest during Queen Elizabeth's reign, this latest visit is his first known one since his gran's funeral.

During his 36-hour visit for the Coronation, he stayed at his former family home of Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, the Telegraph reported. On the big day, he was picked up in a black BMW and driven to Westminster Abbey, protected by a specialist Scotland Yard squad. His appearance alongside his family is the first since the publication of his bombshell memoir Spare.

He sat in the third row, two behind his brother Prince William.
