King Charles has 'regrets' over Harry's Coronation invite, says expert
A royal family expert said he thinks that both the newly crowned King Charles III and Prince Harry will have regrets over Harry's coronation invite. Russell Myers was speaking on Monday's Lorraine where talk turned to Prince Harry's appearance at King Charles' Coronation. The Duke of Sussex attended the formal crowning at Westminster Abbey in a suit.
He was spotted leaving quickly after the ceremony to head to the airport. Russell said their would be regrets in both camps about his attendance, reports the Express. Read More: Prince William 'makes dig' at Harry and Meghan during Coronation Concert speech
Speaking with Christine Lampard, Russell believes both King Charles and Prince Harry will feel regret about the Coronation. He said: "King Charles is 74 years old and I think he is recognising that he is going to need a bit of a bit of help from the younger members. "We've had a lot of [in the] couple of years of this scandal, fighting, and he needs to try and sort that out and try to move forward and he will need William to be by his side to do that.
But nice reflections back from the late Queen paying tribute to her saying that she would be really proud of her son."
Prince Harry fled London after the CoronationChristine said: "I thought there was a real relaxed feeling to the family. They looked like they were enjoying themselves." Russell replied: "As the ceremony went on, he looked more and more nervous I thought, the weight of the occasion was on him.
But yesterday everybody was having a bit of a dance." Talk shifted to Prince Harry who attended the event without his wife Meghan Markle. "Harry, of course," Christine said. "Just an interesting day."

Russel replied: "I think we thought he would be in and out but that was about 24 hours. I mean, he had obviously the excuse of his son's birthday to fly back to but very, very telling.
"I mean, what could have been if it wasn't so acrimonious his departure from the Royal Family? Could he have been not relegated to the third row? "I honestly don't think he would be.
He could have gone to the reception where I imagine we're gonna see some photos later in the official portrait of the Coronation, and this is a great shame. "Regardless of how things have been dealt with, I think there are probably regrets on both sides. It's a pretty sad situation."
Lorraine airs every weekday at 9am on ITV.
