Russian Federation attacks Ukraine with Shahed drones and Kh-22 missiles

On the night of May 8, the Russian invaders attacked Kyiv region with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. Attacking from the northern direction, 35 drones were used, the Ukrainian Air Force reports. According to the military, the drones were launched from the Seshcha air base in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation.

It is reported that all 35 Shahed-136/131 drones were destroyed by the Air Force Command Center in cooperation with the servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, said that as a result of the Russian attack and falling debris, houses, roads, and cars were damaged in the capital. It is also known that about 5 people were injured, all of them were provided with medical assistance.

Popko noted that 7 cars had been damaged in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital, and one more had been completely burned. In the Solomianskyi district, a five-ton diesel fuel tank was damaged with a leak, but without fire.

15 trucks and 5 cars were damaged in the parking lot. Also, due to the debris, a high-pressure gas pipe was damaged, causing a fire, which was quickly extinguished.
