According to Russian media, the incident allegedly happened near the military air base in Morozovsk. The authorities of the region said that the air defense system was activated, which had allegedly "downed the missile".

In turn, the Russian media published a video featuring the downing of an "unknown aerial object" near the air base. It is reported that no one was injured as a result of falling debris.

In addition, loud explosions were heard early in the morning of May 26 over the center of the Russian city of Krasnodar. According to local residents, at least two loud explosions sounded over the city center around 4 a.m. local time. Eyewitnesses heard a sound similar to the flight of a UAV before the explosions.

According to preliminary data, the Russian media claim that the Russian air defense forces went into action after the city of Krasnodar had been attacked by unknown drones. Telegram channels also published a video featuring a drone flying over a Russian city.

Later, the explosion in the city was confirmed by the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation.

According to his information, at 04:17 a.m. in the city of Krasnodar, an explosion was heard near the building on 54/2 Morska Street. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. The damage to the building's roof and windows was recorded, but there was no fire.

According to preliminary information, no casualties were reported.
