Ambulances are handed over within the framework of the Steel Front military initiative. The cost of the transferred specialized vehicles is approximately UAH 18 million. All vehicles were delivered from Italy, the cost of one used vehicle is 10-15 thousand euros without the price of delivery and repair.
Metinvest notes that the transfer of ambulances from Europe is quite complicated: at first they have to involve haulage contractors from Poland, then the vehicles are delivered by volunteers to Ukraine, where they undergo repairs, after which they go to Kyiv. From the capital, the vehicles are sent to the front.

"These vehicles are necessary to carry out evacuation of wounded servicemen.
Timely evacuation will allow timely medical care and save the lives of military personnel. All vehicles will be transferred to the medical detachments of military units, and military hospitals that perform tasks in combat areas. I would like to express my gratitude to the representatives of Metinvest for the assistance provided in the form of these ambulance vehicles.

In general, during the full-scale Russian invasion, Metinvest has transferred almost 100 ambulances.
