Source: European Pravda, citing German Ambassador to Poland Thomas Bugger's interview with Bloomberg. According to the diplomat, negotiations on the creation of a service centre in Poland should be completed "in the coming days", before the North Atlantic alliance summit in Vilnius on 11-12 July.

According to him, the centre will be used to supply Ukraine with much-needed spare parts for German-made equipment. Similar service centres were also established in Slovakia and Romania.

They will play an important role because Ukraine began to use Western equipment for the counteroffensive that has already suffered the first losses. According to the Oryx service, which analyses data on equipment from open sources, at least four Leopard 2 tanks and 16 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles have been destroyed or damaged.

In May, it was reported that the Polish arms concern Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) completed negotiations with Leopard 2 tank manufacturers regarding the implementation of major repairs of equipment transferred to Ukraine in Poland.
