Russians intensified looting before explosion on Kakhovka HPP

Shortly before blowing up the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP), the Russians intensified their looting in the occupied parts of Kherson Oblast.  Source: Press service of the National Resistance Center  Quote: "On the eve of the explosion on the hydroelectric plant, they [the Russians on the left bank of Dnipro - ed.] intensified their looting of local property and transferring it towards Crimea. 

The Russians looted not only on the left bank, but they also looted hotels and recreational centres in resort towns and villages, in particular in the village of Strilkove."

Background:  On the morning of 6 June, Operational Command Pivden (South) reported that the Russian occupiers had blown up the Kakhovka HPP. Later, the Oblast Military Administration confirmed this information. The dam and turbine hall of the HPP have been completely destroyed. The water is moving in a big stream and very quickly. The HPP is beyond repair.

48 settlements have been flooded in Kherson Oblast, of which 34 (3,625 houses) are in Ukrainian-controlled territory and 14 are in temporarily occupied territory.

As of 9 May, 2,412 people had been evacuated from the area.
