RTI Radio Taiwan International reported about this on its social media accounts. This morning in the city of Zhanghua, donors announced a large-scale humanitarian shipment for Ukraine. It includes 48 vehicles, including more than 20 ambulances, at least 6 fire trucks, and several dozen jeeps and minibuses for the needs of Ukrainian defenders at the front.

The initiator of the project is a local businessman, Sanzhong Bai. He was the person who started buying used cars and sponsored their repair and conversion.

Government institutions across the country, including the Ministry of Health, regional police departments, and customs, also contributed to this initiative.

The Taiwan Presbyterian Church, the Taiwan Community Development Association, and other donors will prepare humanitarian aid and specialized equipment that they plan to fill the vehicles with before departure. It is expected that the equipment will go to Ukraine by sea by mid-July. In addition to the aid organized by the local self-government of the Republic of China, the country's government also participates in large-scale projects for financing humanitarian aid to the population and reconstruction of destroyed cities in Ukraine.
