Ukraine's Defence Ministry reacts to Russia's “dirty bomb” accusations: Paltry

The Ministry of Defence has called Russia's accusations concerning an alleged process of creation of a "dirty bomb" in Ukraine paltry. Russia had made such false statements earlier, and they are mere proof that the Russians themselves are ready to prepare a similar provocation. Source: Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on Telegram

Quote: "The accusations by the Russian Federation of a third party concerning the violations of the international law, creation of "dirty bombs", and applying forbidden methods and ways of waging war are paltry. Such claims by the Russian government were made last autumn, when the Russian occupiers were defeated on the front near the city of Kherson.

Their goal is quite transparent: the Russian authorities want to divert attention from obvious military failures of the occupying forces on the front and create mistrust of Western allies towards Ukraine." Details: The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine reminds that it was Russia that invaded the territory of Ukraine groundlessly and without being provoked.

In 202,  Russia occupied the Chornobyl and Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plants, located armament and ammunition in the areas, where it was launching attacks. The occupied ZNPP is still being used by the Russians as a blackmail factor.

The destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP) has led to ecological and humanitarian disaster.

Russia is guilty of attacks on the settlements of Ukraine, mass murders of civilians, torture and execution of prisoners of war. Quote: "If Russia is talking about the danger of someone waging the war, it means that it is unleashing this war itself. If Russia is talking about a "dirty bomb", there may be a real threat of the Russians using such a bomb.

For its part, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is assessing all scenarios and linked risks and in conjunction with other institutions and military administrations taking measures for counteraction against the Russian threat."
