Ukrainian air defense shoots down 15 missiles and 21 UAVs

Shahed kamikaze droneThe Ukrainian Air Force reported that the Russian invaders first attacked Ukraine with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. It happened around 11 p.m. on June 1. Enemy drones entered the Kyiv region from the south, using the topography of the area and the channel of the Dnipro River.
Also, around 3:00 a.m. on June 2, Russian Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles appeared in the airspace of Ukraine, having been launched by Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea area. They entered from the northern direction, attacking Kyiv. Russian missiles changed their flight path, trying to mislead Ukrainian air defenses.

Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, reported that a man and a child were injured as a result of falling debris during a massive enemy air attack on the Kyiv region.
