The details of the incident were reported in the Bryz telecast. The navigator of the small armored gunboat, Artem, shared the details of this event. While providing air defense, the boat shot down an Iranian-made Mohajer-6 UAV.

It started to descend into the water with a parachute, which prompted the search for the downed target. The UAV was intact, so the staff started to immediately inspect it. A guided bomb was fixed on the pylon.
This was the first case of shooting down a drone of this type by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As Militarnyi reported, on September 23, 2022, the Ukrainian military shot down the Iranian Mohajer-6 drone used by Russians for the first time. In addition, this item became a sample to study its components.

As previously reported, Ukrainian intelligence and specialized specialists have disassembled and studied the Russian Iranian-made Mohajer-6 drone shot down in September over the Black Sea. The stuffing of the drone was mostly of foreign origin.
The drone had an engine by Austrian Rotax Aircraft Engines, along with Japanese, Chinese, and American cameras and a laser range finder. These are mainly civilian components, not considered military goods, but Ukrainian intelligence expected that information about their origin would make it possible to complicate accessing these components for Iran. Downed enemy drones help the Ukrainian military to identify the weak points of this unmanned technology, and this offers more knowledge for a better fight against them.
In particular, they say, undamaged samples that came into possession of the Armed Forces of Ukraine help in this matter. The Mohajer-6 multirole UAV is designed to conduct reconnaissance, surveillance, and strikes. The UAV has a maximum takeoff weight of 600 kg, a payload of 100 kg, and a flight range of 200 km.
The duration of the flight is 12 hours, and the maximum flight altitude reaches 5,400 meters.
