NATO liaison office in Ukraine announced this. During the exercise, the Delta system proved capable of sharing data through the Link 16 tactical data link network used by NATO countries. In addition, the Ukrainian system of situational awareness was able to integrate into 15 systems of 10 countries, including 3 systems developed by NATO.

"Delta developers have once again demonstrated Ukraine's significant innovation potential, as well as the ability to contribute to joint operations in a coalition environment," the statement reads.

This level of integration will potentially allow Ukraine to use data from platforms and systems provided by NATO states, such as F-16 aircraft. The Delta system has been tested at NATO exercises since 2018.

According to Aerorozvidka NGO, this year, the system was tested for interoperability with other systems for the first time in 12 of 19 possible directions. Delta demonstrated success in all of them. The system was tested in sections of multi-domain and joint operations, ground, surface, air, cyber and space domains, development of communication capabilities, situation modeling and simulations, etc.

During the tests in each section, Delta proved the interoperability and exchange of data on specific protocols. "The Delta integration platform is a clear example of the fact that Ukraine is actively working on its own program of interoperability in the field of information technology, the role of which is decisive in this war," Ruslan Prylypko, Head of the IT department of NGO Aerorozvidka, shared.

Delta System

Delta is a national military situational awareness system developed by NGO Aerorozvidka and the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies of the Ministry of Defense. The development was launched in 2015 by The forces of Aerorozvidka NGO volunteers, who later started to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and headed the Center for the Implementation and Support of Automated Operational (Combat) Control Systems.

The first prototype of the system was introduced in 2016. And in 2019, the CWIX-2019 exercise confirmed the project's compatibility with similar systems of NATO countries. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the entire infrastructure of the system was transferred to the cloud environment.

During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the system started to be actively used in the defense of Kyiv, the destruction of the Moskva battlecruiser, the liberation of Zmiinyi Island, the 2022 Kharkiv counteroffensive, and other operations.
