Nuclear charges unlikely to be deployed in Belarus yet – Ukraine's General Staff

Currently, the presence of Russian nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus is unlikely, the Ukrainian military command believes. Source:  Brigadier General Oleksii Hromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrinform news agency Quote from Hromov: "I cannot confirm this information (regarding the delivery of the first batch of nuclear charges to Belarus - ed.).

For a storage of nuclear weapons, it is necessary to create special conditions and deploy a base for their maintenance. This is a very complex technological process.

"We must not forget that this is a war with an insidious enemy who does not adhere to international law and is ready to do anything to achieve its goals.

A vivid example for us is the blowing up of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant by the Russians," he said.
