This is reported on the social media public pages of the aggressor country. The plane crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon, August 29. According to the Baza Telegram channel, three people were on board the helicopter.

It should be noted that right after the Mi-8 crash, it was reported that there were four people on board the helicopter, and all of them died. However, the information was later clarified, and it was reported that there were three people in the helicopters.

They were the members of the aircraft's crew. Preliminary, there were no passengers on board. The helicopter of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation was conducting a training flight.

The pilots were reportedly practicing air maneuvers, including takeoff and landing. The cause of the Mi-8 crash has not yet been reported. The helicopter crashed in a forest in the suburbs of Chelyabinsk, 500 meters from the village of Prudny, the Mash Telegram channel reports.

According to eyewitnesses, before the crash, the Mi-8 was swaying violently in the air from side to side and then plummeted down. One of the causes of the accident is believed to be a malfunction of the equipment.

The M5 highway and the Shagol military airfield, where aircraft from the Chelyabinsk Military Aviation Institute of Navigators and the 2nd Regiment of the Russian Aerospace Forces armed with Su-34 bombers, are based near the crash site.

It is noted that the commander, right pilot, and flight engineer were killed in the Mi-8 crash.
