Moscow region was attacked by drones
On the night of August 10, unidentified drones attacked the Russian capital and caused explosions at the local airport. Local Russian media reported on this. At around 02:30 am, an explosion blasted out on the territory of Domodedovo Airport, causing a massive fire.
Local residents report hearing the sounds of air defense and two explosions. Sergei Sobyanin, mayor of Moscow, announced the downing of two drones in the Moscow region.
"At night, around 4 a.m., air defenses shot down two attack UAVs flying towards the city. One in the Kaluga region, and the other in the area of the Moscow Automobile Ring Road," he wrote on his Telegram channel. The Emergency Situations Service of the Moscow region reported that the fire allegedly broke out on the territory of a car service station located near the airport.
According to them, the fire covered an area of about a thousand square meters. No official cause of the explosion has been reported. Previously, drones attacked the Russian capital on July 30 and August 1, successfully breaking through the city's air defenses.
Both attacks targeted the tower of the Moscow City business center in the city center of the capital, which housed the offices of the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Communications, and other government agencies. A similar attack on Moscow took place in the early morning of July 24.
A building, later identified in the OSINT community as probably one of the GS Main Directorate facilities, was damaged.
