Russia says unmanned surface vessel tries to attack Black Sea Fleet ships

The Russian Defence Ministry has claimed that a Ukrainian Uncrewed Surface Vessel (USV) made attempts to attack Russian ships in the Black Sea on the evening of 17 August, but was allegedly destroyed. Source: Russian Defence Ministry on Telegram Quote: "Today [17 August 17 - ed.] at 22:55, Ukraine's Armed Forces made an unsuccessful attempt to attack Black Sea Fleet ships conducting shipping control tasks in the southwestern part of the Black Sea, 237 km southwest of Sevastopol, with an USV."

Details: The Russian Defence Ministry claimed that the USV did not reach its target. The ministry said guard ship Pytlivy and patrol vessel Vasily Bykov destroyed it.
