Russian “authorities” in Tokmak prepare to leave city – Melitopol's mayor

The occupational "authorities" of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia Oblast, are being moved to another place, as the combat line is approaching the city. Source: Ivan Fedorov, Melitopol's mayor   Quote: "Almost daily bavovna and the liberation of settlements on the Melitopol front are turning Tokmak, which is still occupied, from a pre-frontline city into a full frontline city. [Bavovna is a Ukrainian word for cotton; this is a reference to how Russian propaganda, initially refusing to use the word 'vzryv' (explosion), used 'khlopok' (a bang) instead.

However, 'khlopok' also means cotton, and this has since become a meme - ed.] The enemy's defence is cracking, so the first rats run from the sinking 'Russian ship'. According to residents, the local occupying 'authority' have one foot out the door; they are being transported to another city."
