Russian oligarch Giner served with notice of suspicion for building TPPs in Crimea and supplying ammunition to Russia's army
The State Bureau of Investigation, together with the Security Service of Ukraine, has served a notice of suspicion on Russian oligarch Yevgeny Giner, who built two thermal power plants in temporarily occupied Crimea and supplied ammunition to the Russian army. Law enforcement officers established that the suspect ensured the construction of Balaqlava (Sevastopol Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Thermal Power Plant (CCGT-TPP) and Tavriia TPP (Simferopol CCGT-TPP) on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea in 2019 through a company controlled by him. The power plant was connected to the electric networks in Russia.

Apart from that, the suspect gave instructions to supply rounds for various types of small arms to the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and other military formations of the Russian Federation as the owner of the Design Bureau of Automatic Lines named after Lev Nikolaevich Koshkin management company in 2022.
The supply of a large number of rounds was carried out throughout the entire period from the beginning of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. "Giner was served with a notice of suspicion in absentia for aiding and abetting actions to change the borders of the territory and the state border of Ukraine, which led to serious consequences based on a prior conspiracy by a group of persons. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property," law enforcement officers said.
