The U.S. State Department stated that the value of the additional military aid package is £250 million. It includes AIM-9M missiles for air defense, mine-clearing equipment, Javelin and other anti-armor systems and other anti-armor systems and rockets.

The package also includes munitions for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems. Ukraine's cannon artillery will also be reinforced with 155mm and 105mm artillery ammunition.

The Ukrainian infantry will receive 3 million rounds of small arms ammunition, ambulances, demolition munitions for obstacle clearing, as well as spare parts, services, training, and transportation. "Russia started this war and could end it at any time by withdrawing its forces from Ukraine and stopping its brutal attacks.

Until it does, the United States and our allies and partners will stand united with Ukraine, for as long as it takes," the United States Department of State added. The AIM-9 air-to-air guided missile, which is supposed to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, has a high-explosive warhead and an infrared heat-seeking guidance system. These missiles, in various modifications, are in service in a number of countries around the world.

The missiles are compatible with most modern fighter jets.
