Ukraine increases production of own weapons
29 August, 2023 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, June 2023. Ukraine is increasing the production of weapons that the Defense Forces need to repel Russian aggression. President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted this in his evening address on August 28.
According to him, a special meeting on the production of Ukrainian weapons was held on Monday. Representatives of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, Ukroboronprom State Concern, and heads of domestic production facilities were in attendance.

As previously reported, three domestic state-owned enterprises have already started producing FPV drones. Yaroslav Oliynyk, Advisor to the Minister for Strategic Industries, announced this. For security reasons, he refused to disclose details.
In addition, the localization of component production in Ukraine and cooperation with international investors, funds, and manufacturers are underway. In August, Ukraine and Sweden also declared their intention to jointly produce CV90 infantry fighting vehicles in Ukraine.

In addition, Finland is beginning to explore the possibility of producing Finnish armored vehicles in Ukraine.
Consideration of this possibility was initiated at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In particular, it concerns the possibility of producing Finnish Patria wheeled armored personnel carriers at Ukrainian facilities.
