Ukrainian Railways reports delays to trains due to damage to infrastructure in Zhytomyr Oblast

Ukrainian Railways has warned that three trains will be delayed due to damage caused to the railway track by the Russians on the night of 29-30 August. Source: Ukrainian Railways press service  The trains are delayed due to work dealing with the aftermath of the overnight Russian attack on Zhytomyr Oblast.

The following trains will be delayed:

  • No.

    54 Przemysl - Kyiv, up to 2 hours;

  • No.

    743 Darnytsia - Lviv, up to 1 hour;

  • No.

    68 Warsaw - Kyiv, up to 30 minutes.

The remaining 84 long-distance trains will run on schedule.  "We apologise and are working to resume the service according to the standard timetable," Ukrainian Railways added.

Update.

As of 11:42 (Kyiv time), rail services over the Russian-damaged section in Zhytomyr Oblast have resumed.  The main delays are to trains No.

54 Przemysl-Kyiv (+5 hours) and No.

743 Darnytsa-Lviv (+2 hours 20 minutes). Note:

On the night of 30 August, Russians attacked an infrastructure facility in Zhytomyr Oblast. The railway track was partially damaged as a result of a drone being shot down.
