Recent heavy rains have caused significant damage in Slovenia, collapsing at least seven major and regional bridges and affecting roads and energy infrastructure facilities. Thousands of people had to leave their homes; many were evacuated by helicopters and boats, and fatalities were reported. According to the authorities, this is the worst flood situation in Slovenia's recent history, affecting two-thirds of the country's territory.

51 Ukrainian rescue workers and 19 pieces of equipment began restoration works in flood-affected areas. Robert Golob, Prime Minister of Slovenia, personally met the Ukrainian rescue team, which arrived to provide assistance due to the floods in Slovenia.
