Armed Forces of Ukraine to be equipped with ShaBlia remote weapon stations

Frame from the video hromadske The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has authorized the first ShaBlia remote weapon stations for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on the website of the Ministry of Defense on Friday, September 22.

This station can be equipped with various weapons and mounted on vehicles. The Defense Ministry notes that the ShaBlia remote weapon station is used to conduct reconnaissance to identify targets on the battlefield and defeat enemy manpower, as well as to combat lightly armored vehicles and enemy firing positions. It is stated that thanks to the teamwork of the developers, the Ministry of Defense managed to accelerate the overcoming of obstacles to the ShaBlia remote weapon station's admission to operation in the troops.

"We are pleased that the Ukrainian ShaBlia remote weapon station is highly appreciated not only by our soldiers and the Ministry of Defense, but also by such great friends of Ukraine as former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson," comments the leader of the development team. It is known that the ShaBlia remote weapon station can be mounted on vehicles, unmanned ground platforms, as well as installed in a trench, dugout or other place.

The station can be armed with a machine gun, automatic grenade launcher or other weapons.

The system provides remote destruction of the enemy at a distance of up to 2 km.

The RWS is equipped with a video camera and thermal imager. Due to the detection and surveillance equipment and remote control, operators can fire from the station while in a safe place.
