Special Operations Forces reveal details of the strike on the Black Sea Fleet HQ in Sevastopol

The press service of the SOF reported about this on Saturday, September 23, on social media. The soldiers of the Special Operations Forces transmitted data to the Air Force to launch a missile strike. The cruise missile strike took place on Friday afternoon, September 22.

The special operation in the occupied Crimea, where the main base of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation is located, was called "Krabova Pastka" or "Crab Trap". "The daring and painstaking work of the Special Operations Forces enabled them to hit the Black Sea Fleet headquarters 'on time and with precision' while the Russian Navy's senior staff was meeting in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol," the SOF said in the statement. In particular, the soldiers of the Special Operations Forces transmitted data to the Ukrainian Air Force to hit such an important military facility as the enemy fleet headquarters in Sevastopol.

"The details of the attack will be revealed once it is possible. The result is dozens of dead and wounded invaders, including the senior leadership of the fleet," the statement reads. As previously reported, on Friday, September 22, powerful explosions occurred in the temporarily occupied Crimea in the city of Sevastopol. Around 1:00 p.m., the Russian headquarters was hit by a missile, as a result of which the building was seriously damaged.

The possible means by which such a powerful strike could have been carried out are the French-British Storm Shadow / SCALP air-launched cruise missiles, which Ukraine received as part of military aid. Such missiles are provided to Ukraine by the United Kingdom and France.
Subsequently, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reported that at least 9 people were killed and 16 wounded in the attack on the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
Among them were Russian generals.
