Details: Chaiuk had participated in the Ukrainian anti-terrorist operation.

He took part in the battles for the Luhansk airport and the city of Debaltseve, Donetsk Oblast. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, he had been the deputy commander of the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade. In March 2022, he received a shrapnel wound.
