The Ukrainian company Frendt introduced an ultra-light system for the remote search of landmines. According to the Industrial Portal, this was announced by Vitalii Shuberanskyi, founder of Frendt. The first presentation took place on September 20 at the Agro Vinnytsia exhibition.

It is stated that the system is equipped with ultra-low-pressure tires, so it is not blown up when hitting explosive objects. "At the beginning, we've developed a concept of a tractor on remote control, but then we realized that when we found a dangerous object, the tractor automatically stopped and someone needed to go to mine-clearing so that the vehicle could move on. This concept was not suitable because usually people read instructions after something happens.

And you can really get great losses," says Vitalii Shuberanskyi. The founder of Frendt noted that because of this, an ultra-light system for remote sensing of the ground was invented, which is equipped with low-pressure tires.

When it runs over an explosive object, detonation does not occur, and the UGV drives on, transmitting information about the area where the danger was detected. Any detector, whether radar or not, can be installed on the vehicle. The system remotely transmits data to the office, bound to GPS coordinates, and builds a map of dangerous objects used by sappers.

"It is much easier for sappers to approach each site and carry out demining," the founder of Frendt added.

Shuberanskyi noted that the average productivity of a sapper during demining is 25 square meters per day.

The remote machine can search for explosive objects on 10 thousand square meters in 1 hour.
