The video evidence was published on social media. Soldiers of the 15th Mobile Border Guard Detachment of the Steel Frontier assault brigade in the Lyman-Kupiansk sector hit a Russian infantry fighting vehicle with infantry using Stugna-P ATGMs. While repulsing the enemy assault, the anti-tank system's crew used a guided missile with a HE warhead against enemy armored vehicles.
Missiles with HE warheads for the Stugna have long been offered by the Ukrainian Luch Design Bureau, but no orders were reported until 2022. The missile was presumably manufactured during the Russian full-scale invasion.
According to the official manufacturer's website, the RK-2OF 130mm and RK-2M-OF 152mm missiles are offered with an HE warhead. Both warheads, in addition to ready-made fragments, also have a high-explosive core that provides armor-piercing qualities. The RK-2OF missile has a range of 5,000 meters, is capable of penetrating up to 60 mm armor, and produces over 600 fragments.
The more powerful RK-2M-OF is capable of penetrating up to 120-mm armor and producing more than 1,000 fragments upon detonation.
