HIMARS destroys two Russian Grad multiple rocket launchers in one strike

Ukrainian artillery hit two Russian multiple rocket launchers and an ammunition depot. The video was posted on the page of the 43rd Artillery Brigade named after Hetman Taras Tryasyl. An aerial reconnaissance unit of the 43rd Artillery Brigade used the Shark UAV to detect a Russian multiple rocket launcher that was firing at the Ukrainian military.

The drone has been tracking the invaders' vehicle from the moment it was deployed until it arrived at the rear supply point. In the same place, another enemy MLRS was detected arriving for reloading. After waiting for them to stop, the aerial reconnaissance servicemen transmitted the coordinates of the target to the HIMARS missile system for strike.

The GMLRS missile hit the MLRS ammunition depot and the rocket launchers themselves, which were located nearby. The enemy's equipment was destroyed as a result of the missile debris and the detonation of the ammunition.

According to the gunners, it took minimal time to aim the HIMARS at the target, and the flight time for the missile after launch was only 120 seconds.

The targeting of the Russian equipment was executed with the help of a Shark reconnaissance drone purchased by the Come Back Alive Foundation.

25 such systems are known to operate at the front as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were acquired by the Come Back Alive Fund. Each of them consists of two UAVs, a launch system, and a command post.

The system is characterized by good protection against enemy electronic warfare, as well as a large radius of operation, which is 60-80 kilometers, depending on the modification. In September, it was due to such a reconnaissance drone that five launchers of the Russian Buk air defense systems in the Zaporizhzhia region were detected and destroyed in one flight. It can be assumed that the strike actually destroyed the air defense system.

In addition, for the first time in a long time and for the second time since the Russian invasion, the Shark drone was used to detect and destroy the Russian long-range BM-30 Smerch multiple rocket launcher.
