The Netherlands hands over 4 mobile hospitals to border guards

Ukrainian border guards have received a shipment of medical equipment from the Netherlands. Four more mobile hospitals were delivered, including a dental department. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced this on Monday, October 16.

These mobile hospitals are supplied by Hospitainer as part of the government program and under the coordination of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine to strengthen the medical capabilities of the Ukrainian Defense Forces during the ongoing Russian aggression. "We have received mobile hospitals that will be used at the front. The mobile hospital has everything we need for various operations, including complex ones," says Anatolii Kovalenko, head of the medical support department of the Steel Frontier brigade.

It is noted that the mobile hospitals correspond to the classification of mobile medical units of NATO armies Role 1, Role 2 Basic, Role 2 Enhanced, which are already in service with the medics of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and are used for their intended purpose, saving the lives of defenders. The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine highlighted that this is not the first time a Hospitainer has come to Ukraine with aid.

The company's representative added that it has already handed over 9 such hospitals to the Ukrainian military and plans to supply 12 more. "These hospitals are highly mobile, secure, autonomous and equipped with the appropriate materials, facilities and equipment to provide quality medical care for a long time. The hospitals are all-season, they have all the necessary equipment and medicines.

These mobile hospitals can serve as a place to provide first aid, perform surgeries, and also deploy an inpatient care," the statement said.

The mobile hospital can be deployed at any location and provide medical care.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine is currently looking for doctors, nurses and paramedics to be employed. This is not the first time that the Netherlands itself and in cooperation with other countries provided mobile hospitals to Ukraine.

In August, the Netherlands handed over 6 mobile hospitals to Ukrainian border guards - two Role 2 modules and four Role 1 modules - which allow military medics to set up a full-fledged hospital in the field.

In early July, the State Border Guard Service also received a mobile hospital from the Netherlands.
