Ukraine's Defence Minister thanks Pentagon for ATACMS, saying they are quite effective

Austin and Umierov also discussed the "successful outcomes of last week's Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) meeting in Brussels, Belgium and recent developments on the ground in Ukraine", the statement said.

On the night of 17 October, Ukrainian troops attacked helicopters and equipment belonging to the Russian occupying forces at air bases near the occupied cities of Berdiansk and Luhansk.

Two helicopters were hit.
