Poland will help Finland protect the border with Russia
Poland will deploy a group of military advisors to Finland to help protect the border with Russia. Jacek Siewiera, Head of the Polish National Security Bureau, announced this. The deployment of Polish advisors is a response to an official request for allied support in the face of a hybrid attack on the Finnish border.
These agreements were reached during a meeting between Finnish President Sauli Niinisto and Polish President Andrzej Duda. According to Siewiera, Poland intends to respond positively to the request of its NATO ally and EU partner.

The Finnish government has decided to close all border crossings with Russia for two weeks, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated on Tuesday, November 28.
According to him, the purpose of such a step is to establish control over Russia's hybrid activities affecting Finland as soon as possible. It is about Russia creating an artificial crisis with migrants. Finnish authorities have decided to close the eastern border with Russia.
The decision will come into force on Thursday at 00:00 and will remain in effect until December 13. It will also be impossible to apply for asylum at border crossings. Before that, on November 22, the Finnish government decided to close almost all border crossings with Russia.
Now only one checkpoint is open - in Lapland.

For this purpose, migrants who arrived in Russia from the Middle East, Africa, and other regions who did not have the necessary documents were sent to the Finnish border, where they tried to enter the country.
