The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported on this. It is reported that the Ministry of Defense has purchased about half a thousand housing modules for the military to accommodate servicemen in the field. Block containers are most needed on the second line of defense or at the sites of training of the Ukrainian defenders.

The units of Mobile AA Teams, artillerymen, paratroopers, and infantrymen were among the first ones to receive the housing.

The block containers are equipped with everything soldiers need for everyday life: air conditioning, a heater, a washbasin, a shower, a toilet, and mobile laundry facilities. Such blocks can be used to create collapsible mobile barracks.

The modular structures are produced by Ukrainian manufacturers, and their equipment may vary depending on the location. Thanks to the use of the ISO container format, any modern truck with sufficient carrying capacity or rail can transport such housing modules. Volunteers are also involved in the production of modular premises for the military.

Militarnyi reported in 2022 that the Navy had received new modules to improve its living conditions.

The modules were constructed on the basis of 20-foot shipping containers. The project was implemented jointly with the crewing company Alpha Navigation and the volunteer center "Na khvyli'' (On the Wave).

In total, the military received 35 such modules, which serve as showers, bath and laundry facilities, separate laundry rooms, restrooms, and even office space.
