Finland to start producing artillery ammunition for Ukraine
Finland will soon start producing large-caliber artillery shells for Ukraine. Antti Hakkinen, Finnish Defense Minister, announced this in an interview with Iltalehti. He noted that the decision on this will be made in the near future.
"We have completed negotiations on how Finland will further increase the production of artillery ammunition for Ukraine. This decision will be made very soon," the Finnish Minister noted. According to him, this issue is likely to be resolved by Christmas.

"The plans are ready. Plans for a significant increase in ammunition production have been announced. The intention is to support Ukraine even more than we do now.
At the same time, we will continue to increase the readiness of Finland and the Nordic countries to produce ammunition," Hakkinen said. He noted that the production of ammunition will be increased by tens of millions of euros. Local company Nammo Lapua Oy will be supplying the 155mm artillery shells.
In November, Finland transferred a new military aid package to Ukraine, estimated at EUR100 million. The new aid package from Finland is the 20th since the beginning of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war. Further details on the content of the package, the way it is delivered, or the schedule will not be provided for operational reasons, and to ensure that the assistance will reach its destination safely.
