HIMARS struck R-934B Sinitsa automated jamming station in the Kupiansk direction

Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare system in the Kupyansk direction. The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine released the video capturing the destruction of Russian equipment. The vehicle of the Russian electronic warfare system, which the invaders tried to disguise in a forest, was discovered by Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance.

The location of the equipment was recorded by the operators of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment in the course of special reconnaissance. After detecting important enemy equipment, the Ukrainian crew of the reconnaissance drone adjusted its HIMARS fire at the Russian R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare system. A precision strike with a GMLRS missile was launched from a U.S. launcher in service with one of the artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. The date and exact location of the strike on the Russian equipment was not disclosed.

However, the Special Operations Forces reported that the enemy electronic warfare system was destroyed as a result of this fire.

R-934B Sinitsa

The R-934B Sinitsa EW system is designed for radio jamming of aviation VHF radio communications, tactical aviation guidance systems, as well as ground-based stationary and mobile radio communication lines.

It is stated that it can jam cellular and trunk networks operating both on fixed frequencies and in the mode of software adjustment of the operating frequency. The station can operate separately or as part of the Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare weapon system. The Russian R-934B was spotted in the temporarily occupied Donbas even before the outbreak of a full-scale war with Russia.

Previously, soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed the Russian R-934BMV electronic warfare weapon system. The system was struck by an FPV drone on one of the front sections.
