“Holy Father, pray for us”: Pope receives Ukrainian flag – photo
At the request of the Ukrainian military, Roman Catholic bishops presented Pope Francis with a flag with an embroidered call to prayer for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Banner with the words, Holy Father, pray for us. With faith and love, was created by the craftswomen from the city of Znamianka at the request of the servicemen of the 72nd Separate Mechanised Brigade, reports Kirovohrad Oblast Military Administration.
"This banner was given to Radoslav Zmitrovych and Oleksandr Yazlovetskyi, Roman Catholic bishops from Ukraine, in order to present it to the Pope.
