Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industry of Ukraine, announced this. According to him, deregulation in this segment has given rise to many new domestic producers. "As for ammunition for drones, we have the capacity to produce it.

Deregulation in this segment has given rise to many new manufacturers. We now have more than 50 manufacturers of ammunition for drones, both state-owned and private," Kamyshin wrote on Telegram. The minister noted that it is about the production of ammunition weighing from 300 g to 10 kg, of various types.

He noted that now the Defense Ministry team is actively testing new ammunition for drones and "putting them into service quite quickly." Systematic procurement of relevant ammunition has already begun. "Ammunition for drones should be produced in a factory, not in the trenches.

And factories are ready for this," Kamyshin summarized. Previously, at a private meeting with representatives of G7 countries in Kyiv, Defense Minister Rustem Umierov also said that Ukraine had launched the production of ammunition for UAVs.

"We are prioritizing drones, we have set up production, but we do not advertise it.

We have a production plan and a financing plan," the minister said. According to him, the Ministry of Defense, together with the General Staff of the Armed Forces, has already formed needs for drones for the army for 2024.

In November, it became known that Ukraine developed a new powerful warhead to equip drones.

It is reported that tests of the new warhead were successful: the explosion destroyed three armor plates placed one after the other.

The first and second armor plates (50 mm and 16 mm thick, respectively) were completely destroyed, and the third one (16 mm thick) was dented.
