Russians attack Kharkiv Oblast, 1 man killed, another injured
One man received an injury and a wound on 25 December in the village of Pishchane in Kharkiv Oblast, and another man was killed as a result of a Russian attack on the village of Podoly on the night of 25-26 December. The settlements of Veterynarne in Kharkiv district, Ivashky and Udy in Bohodukhiv district, Vovchansk and Budarky in Chuhuiv district, Synkivka, Petropavlivka and Ivanivka in Kupiansk district and other settlements were struck. A private household and outbuildings were damaged in the town of Vovchansk. The attack was carried out at about 10:00 on 25 December.
At 11:00, the Russians struck the village of Pishchane in Kupiansk district. A 63-year-old local man received a mine-blast trauma and shrapnel wounds and was taken to hospital. At about 11:30, a private house was damaged in the village of Kozacha Lopan as a result of a Russian attack.
No people were injured. On 26 December, at about 02:30, the Russians launched an attack on the village of Podoly, Kupiansk district, damaging a private house. The police reported that the rescue workers found the body of a man under the rubble, even though earlier the head of Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration had stated that no casualties had been reported.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings over the violation of the laws and customs of war under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Syniehubov added that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had repelled six Russian attacks near the settlement of Synkivka in Kupiansk district.
