The Ukrainian Embassy in South Korea reported on this. The equipment has arrived at its destination, where it will be distributed among the SES's units involved in the humanitarian demining of the liberated territory of Ukraine. The Embassy expresses its sincere gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Korea for the provided equipment and hopes for further support.

In addition to humanitarian aid, South Korea provides non-lethal military aid to Ukraine.

In September, South Korea handed over to Ukraine two K600 combat engineering vehicles based on the Type 88 (K1) tank. The transfer of non-lethal weapons is part of a promise made by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol during the G7 summit held in Hiroshima in May 2022.

At that time, they discussed aid and supply of equipment for demining the territories and aid in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. As previously reported, the Swiss company Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) will increase the number of remote-controlled mechanical demining platforms supplied to Ukraine up to 70 units in 2024.

The company plans to increase the number up to 25 vehicles in the last quarter of 2023, 40 in the spring of 2024, and 70 by mid-2024.

As previously reported, Ukrainian rescuers have already received 19 foreign robotic demining platforms.

The robotic demining platforms were received from the governments of Germany, Canada, Estonia, Switzerland, and the Howard G.
