In Russia the development of Pantsir-SM-SV air defense system has been advanced

6 January, 2024 Pantsir-SM-SV self-propelled medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft artillery system Russia has started the final stage of the development of the Pantsir-SM-SV modernized ground force air defense system. The Rostec Corporation said that tests of a new modification of the self-propelled air defense system (SPAD) are coming to an end.

The checks carried out have already allegedly shown the compliance of the system with the requirements imposed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The development is carried out by the KBP Instrument Design Bureau in Tula, which is a part of the High Precision Systems Holding of the Rostec corporation. The new system is designed specifically to cover troops in any situation, it should accompany troops in off-road conditions.
