The Ministry of Defense certified the second model of body armor for women

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the second model of body armor for women. It was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense. A bulletproof vest for feminine military personnel was developed by the Temp-3000 company.
It is noted that unlike the first certified model of body armor for women from Ukrainian Armor where the armor plate has a shape curved outward, the body armor from Temp-3000 was equipped with damper cushions. They will help to adjust the body armor to anatomical features of each woman. In total, there are three pads in different sizes.

In addition, to protect the groin area, the manufacturer has developed an additional ballistic bag. It is noted that the female bulletproof vest has the same ballistic characteristics as the male one.
The Ministry of Defense said that the sample tests have lasted three months and took place in two stages. The first is for the convenience of wearing by military personnel. The second is laboratory tests, which included ballistic, non-ballistic, and testing of materials and accessories.

The weight of the body armor from 10.5 kilograms or more, it all depends on the configuration. "More than 40 thousand women serve in the Armed Forces.
Our aim is to provide our defenders with bulletproof vests, first of all we are talking about military personnel on the front line. We have already talked to manufacturers. In general, Ukrainian Armor can produce up to 10,000 kits in 60-90 days, and the Temp-3000 - 5000 kits per month," said Vitalii Polovenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense noted that both models are available for centralized procurement.
Currently, the defense ministry is waiting for data from the General Staff of Armed Forces of Ukraine on the number of female body armor to be purchased.
