The Foundation's press service reported on this. Donors transferred telecommunication kits for mobile AA fire teams to the Air Command Center within the Pack the Sky - Upgrade Air Defense project. Telecommunications kits are backpacks that contain all the necessary types of secure communications.

In fact, they are autonomous hubs that allow the mobile AA fire teams always to be able to receive orders, information on the movement of enemy targets, and other data for their destruction in a timely manner. The cost of all the kits is UAH 21,533,453.17. Their total number is not disclosed for security reasons.

The soldiers of the Air Command Center are defending Kyiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kropyvnytskyi, and other cities and villages in the central part of the country from enemy missiles and drones. "In 2022-2023, during power outages due to enemy attacks on our infrastructure, communication was often lost throughout the country.

People could not contact each other. Can you imagine how it would be for the military in such a situation, hunting for Russian cruise missiles and drones? To ensure that our defenders have reliable communication under any conditions, the Foundation's specialists have developed telecommunication kits for them.

They include radios, IP phones, masts, and antennas. There is an additional wire to connect Starlink, as well as USB power for various devices. All the equipment is placed in a backpack for easy transportation," Oleksii Dubynka, a Come Back Alive Foundation consultant, shared.

The first batch of telecommunication kits was delivered to the mobile AA fire teams last October.

The Foundation and Nova Poshta have already delivered five batches of equipment to air defense units within the Pack the Sky - Upgrade Air Defense project. In addition to telecommunication kits, the Air Command "Center" has previously received:

  • comprehensive communications hardware - trucks equipped with all the necessary equipment, technology, and secure communications to effectively perform combat missions. Comprehensive communications hardware is completely energy and heat-independent.

    In simple terms, these equipped vehicles are the nervous system of air defense. They accompany air defense missile systems;

  • portable communications and control kits are suitcases weighing up to 60 kg, equipped with the necessary telecommunications and office equipment, and easily folded into a modern mobile command post with workstations for our soldiers.

The air defense units will also be equipped with mobile command posts based on trucks. They will allow commanding troops on the move and will have universal places for defenders to work and rest.

As previously reported, the Come Back Alive Foundation, together with Nova Poshta, raised UAH 330 million to strengthen air defense within the Pack the Sky - Upgrade Air Defense project.

The initiative started on June 1 and ended on December 26.
