"The drone was received by the soldiers of the reconnaissance unit of the marines, who work on the left bank of the Dnipro River," the foundation said. Also, Come Back Alive Foundation reported that this reconnaissance drone was already helping to detect and destroy enemy targets in the Kherson region.

The foundation noted that the PD-2 was one of the best Ukrainian unmanned aerial systems of the operational and tactical level in its niche. With a flight range of more than 200 kilometers and the ability to operate in the air for up to 12 hours, the system has proven to be one of the most effective for detecting and tracking enemy targets for HIMARS and other long-range weapons systems. Each drone has an optical sensor with a 30x zoom for daytime mode and a 5x zoom for thermal imaging.

The PD-2 drone can clearly identify target coordinates in the frame at a distance of more than 5 kilometers. Operators control the UAV from a mobile control center.

As previously reported, in January of this year, the Come Back Alive Foundation transferred a PD-2 reconnaissance system to the 92nd Assault Brigade.
