The United States and Canada provided Ukraine with special demining equipment. U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink announced this on her Twitter page.

On her page, she also noted that due to Russia's full-scale invasion, more than a third of Ukraine's territory was mined. The equipment worth £1 million will be transferred to the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.

In addition to the demining equipment, which includes metal detectors, protective equipment, and X-ray systems, off-road vehicles were also donated to the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine. Japanese Toyota Hilux pickup trucks will be used to transport the relevant equipment and deliver sappers to remote work sites. The donated equipment will allow for increasing the number of demining teams and further accelerate the process of reconstruction of the country.

In addition, the U.S. Ambassador stated that she had met with Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko. The topic of discussion was financial support from the United States.

Militarnyi previously reported that 106 engineering and demining teams of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received pickup trucks and mine clearance kits from the Come Back Alive Foundation. The military is being supplied within the We Live Here project, implemented jointly with Kyivstar.

The Come Back Alive Foundation stated that together with a mobile operator, they managed to raise UAH 180 million within the We Live Here project to help sappers.

The original plan was to raise UAH 175 million to implement this project.
